Mermicorno: Starfall is based on the Mermicorno family of characters created by Simone Legno, Co-Founder and Chief Creative Officer of iconic global lifestyle brand tokidoki. He was born in Rome and drew incessantly as a child. The boxes of chewed, broken and unsharpened pencils he adored as a kid were the beginnings of a passion for art that led to the eventual creation of tokidoki.
Simone’s iconic designs are known internationally and Mermicorno: Starfall is the first content based on his work at tokidoki. He created the premise of the series and the team at Atomic Cartoons brought it to life, led by Legno and renowned showrunner Shea Fontana, who has worked on many animated series including Monster High and DC Super Hero Girls.
